Hyundai Santro Price & Reviews
The fact that the new Hyundai Santro is longer, broader, and more feature-packed than the previous generation model means nothing if it does not come together as a product that offers better value than its current competitors. So we put any feelings we could have had about the brand ‘Santro’ in the back seat and drove the new Santro for a few hundred kilometers to see how excellent of a product it is.
So, on two points, the Santro failed to impress us. For starters, it is missing dual airbags, which we believe should be standard in any car sold in India. Second, the ‘at par’ features list, which lacks a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, adjustable headrest, alloys, and LED headlights, among other things.
The Santro’s interiors, which feel modern and out of this world, are where it really shines. The plastics and materials are of such high quality that they may be compared to non-Hyundai cars from not one, but two classes above. It also has a familiar 4-cylinder engine with a new AMT that goes nicely with its laid-back personality. The new Santro is a mixed bag as a whole. On the one hand, it falls short in terms of features, while on the other, it impresses us with its interior quality and well-organized mechanicals.
Unlike the previous model, which played the value card, the new model provides a more premium experience, but at a cost.

Colors:
Hyundai Santro is available in 6 different colours, and they are Titan Grey, Alpha Blue, Fiery Red, Polar White, Imperial Beige, Typhoon Silver.
Pros:
- In terms of the quality of materials utilised inside the interior, the Hyundai Santro establishes a new standard.
- When it comes to riding and handling, the Santro appears to be a mature package. At high speeds, it feels planted, and the steering is weighted to give you confidence. The steering is light, and the ride is agreeable at parking and city speeds.
- The Hyundai Santro is built on the same chassis as the Grand i10, giving it a wheelbase of 2400mm, which is 20mm longer than the Eon. The Hyundai Santro is broader than the Celerio at 1645mm. Its cabin is spacious, with enough room to comfortably accommodate two six-footers one behind the other. There’s plenty of headroom in both the front and back seats.
Cons:
- The front and rear seats have fixed headrests.
- There aren’t any twin airbags as standard: Only the driver’s side airbag comes standard on the Hyundai Santro. Only the Asta model comes with dual airbags.
- Important features are missing: None of the versions come with alloy wheels, electrically foldable ORVMs, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, or automatic temperature control. At the very least, Hyundai might have included them in the top-of-the-line Asta model.
Customer Reviews:
- It took two years and 20,000 kilometres to finish. The cost of the third service was 2600 Rs. My Santro Sportz CNG gets 32 km/kg on the highway with air conditioning. I’m pleased with the vehicle.
- In this segment, the mileage is outstanding, and the vehicle is very comfortable. In comparison to other vehicles in the sector, the pricing is also competitive.
