Maruti Suzuki Omni 2022- Price, Reviews, Images, Colors & Specifications

Maruti Suzuki Omni Quick Reviews:

The Maruti Omni is a car that we are all familiar with. Therefore it does not require any special introduction. Despite being a fairly old model, the Omni is still selling more units than many of its competitors, making it an economical and thrifty urban van for large families and taxi companies. Maruti’s renowned 786cc three-cylinder petrol engine is mated to a four-speed manual transmission in the Omni petrol. The automobile is also available in an LPG version.

Maruti Suzuki introduced the Maruti Omni as one of its initial models in India in 1984, shortly after the company began operations. The minivan, often known as the people-mover, is available in five-seat and eight-seat configurations. The family car is only available with a petrol engine powered by a 796cc engine mated to a manual transmission. Omni is a basic eight-seat people-mover with only a few features. It has a basic design on the outside and inside.

Maruti Suzuki Omni, like all other Maruti Suzuki cars, has a cheap maintenance cost. For the first ten years, your average maintenance expenditure would be roughly Rs. 3,200/- per year. This includes complimentary services as well as warranty coverage.

Omni has undergone a number of revisions throughout the years, but it still has an antiquated appearance. There is enough room for five people inside, with an option for an eight-seat arrangement as well. It has a 796cc petrol engine with a four-speed manual transmission for power generation. It’s just a basic people mover that comes in four different trims: five seats, eight seats, cargo, and ambulance.

Key Specifications:

Engine: 796 cc

BHP: 32.8 – 37.0 Bhp

Transmission: Manual, 20 variants

Mileage: 14.0 – 19.7 kmpl

Omni has a boxy appearance and receives minor style features, which are primarily in keeping with its outmoded appearance. Rectangular headlamps, black front and rear bumpers, sliding doors, square-like wheel arches, and small tyres are all standards.

The cabin comes in five and eight-seat configurations, though the luggage storage space in the eight-seat version is limited due to the addition of the third row. A cup holder is included on the dashboard, as well as storage for other goods. Dual-tone upholstery covers the seats, and help grips are supplied in the front and rear for easy occupant access and egress.

Engine Specifications and Transmissions:

The rear wheels are driven by a 796cc three-cylinder four-stroke engine located beneath the front seats. The engine, which produces 34bhp at 5000rpm and 59Nm at 2500rpm and is mated to a four-speed manual transmission, is a little underpowered.

Omni has thermoplastic front and back bumpers, mudflaps, an exterior rearview mirror in the right, body graphics, and clear glass headlamps on the outside. It has reclining seats, adjustable front seat headrests, a sliding driver’s seat, a rearview mirror, a floor mat, a steering lock, a lockable glove compartment, and front and rear seat belts.

Performance and Mileage:

The ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 16.8km/l is claimed for the petrol-powered minivan.

  • Petrol (796 cc): Manual 14.96 kmpl
  • LPG (796 cc): Manual 10.9 kmpl

Braking and Handling:

Booster-assisted disc and drum units provide stopping power. The Maruti Omni has a fairly rudimentary braking system, with front disc brakes. The rear brakes are drum brakes. The automobile has a 4.1-meter turning radius, making it ideal for city driving.

Wheels and Tyres:

Front and rear 145R 12 LT 8 PR tyres are fixed, and alloy wheels and wheel covers are not included in the selection.

The Maruti Suzuki Omni is an entry-level vehicle with limited safety features. Front and side-impact beams, engine immobilizer, back door lock, anti-theft device, high-mount rear stop lamp, and centrally positioned fuel tank are only a few of the car’s important safety features.

Price and Variants:

The Maruti Suzuki Omni ex-showroom pricing ranges from 2.75 lakh to 3.06 lakh. The top-of-the-line Maruti Suzuki Omni costs 3.33 lakh on the road. Omni is available in three different versions from Maruti Suzuki.

Customer Reviews:

  • This truck has served as a people mover, courier delivery vehicle, ambulance, and a variety of other duties! The Omni is simple, low-cost transportation for large families. Maruti has updated the Omni on a regular basis since my boyhood, but Omni’s age is clear. The last big redesign took place in 1997, which is over a decade ago!
  • This is the greatest vehicle in its class. This is the best 7+1 seater vehicle available. The ground clearance is also excellent. The car, however, has no safety features. According to its shape, the engine is also the best to design. It’s also quite uncomfortable in the name of comfort.
  • The handiest and dependable multi-utility vehicle we’ve ever seen. It is recommended that the production be continued in the future. Extremely cost-effective and low-maintenance. For the past seven years, we’ve been driving this automobile. The cost of maintenance is cheaper than that of a 200cc motorcycle. We spent an average of Rupees 2,000 every service on van maintenance. As a result, we vote for the Maruti Omni van.

The Maruti Suzuki Omni has been discontinued and is no longer available.
