Nissan Terrano Overview:

The new 2017 Nissan Terrano facelift was unveiled in India, with prices ranging from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 14.2 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). With the 2017 Nissan Terrano facelift, Nissan had added 22 new features, including a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and voice recognition, which is a much-needed addition. Other features include power-assisted ORVMs, hill-climb aid, and cruise control. The interior has been updated as well, with a new dual-tone colour scheme and new textiles or leather upholstery, depending on the type. The steering wheel has been overhauled and now includes telephony and audio controls. Thankfully, the 2017 Nissan Terrano includes an armrest for the driver. Nissan Terrano Colours:

The Nissan Terrano comes in 6 colours, and are Sandstone Brown, Bronze Grey, Sapphire Black, Blade Silver, Pearl White, Fire Red.

Nissan Terrano Exteriors:

The exterior design and appearance are rather remarkable, with Nissan’s iconic chrome-plated grille with a honey-comb backdrop and big headlamps dominating the front profile. Large air-dams, a skid plate, and spherical fog lamps are installed on the lower side of the bumper. Fat tyres are mounted under flared wheel arches, and a side stepper allows for easy entry and exit. With fascinating tail lamps and a big bumper, the rear appearance is very intriguing.

Nissan Terrano Interior:

The black and beige colour scheme on the dual-tone dashboard appears luxurious. The AC vents, audio system, and temperature knobs are all located on the flat rectangular centre console. The instrument panel is spacious, and the three-spoke steering wheel is devoid of mounted controls. Overall, the interior design is a little archaic, but the cabin is pretty pleasant in terms of space, with plenty of room for passengers. Within the cabin, there are numerous storage areas, as well as ample luggage room.

Nissan Terrano Engine Specifications and Transmission:

The engine is a 1.6-litre four-cylinder unit that produces 104PS at 5750rpm and 148Nm at 3750rpm. Diesel variations are powered by a 1.5-litre engine with two power outputs: 85PS and 110PS. The lower-end models have an 85PS engine, whereas the higher-end models have a 110PS unit. In petrol and 85PS diesel trims, a five-speed manual gearbox takes over transmission duties, while 110PS variants get a six-speed tranny.

Nissan Terrano Features:

4-pod design headlamps, body-coloured bumpers, antenna, chrome-finished grille, body-colored ORVMs & outside door handles, side sill, roof rails, and 16-inch machined alloy wheels are among the exterior stylistic characteristics available. Fabric seat covers and leather upholstery are available for interiors. Inside, there’s a lot of chrome, which gives the cabin an expensive feel, and there’s an analogous three dial-ins.

Nissan Terrano Price:

The Nissan Terrano pricing ranges from 10 lakhs to 14 lakhs (ex-showroom). The top-of-the-line Nissan Terrano costs 17.13 lakhs on the road. Terrano is available in six trim levels from Nissan(all petrol, Diesel)

Pros of Nissan Terrano:

  • Terrano’s diesel engine provides excellent performance and efficiency.
  • The Nissan Terrano is simply a more elegant version of the Dacia Duster, with the same soft ride quality and toughness.
  • The Nissan Terrano’s massive ground clearance of 205mm is more than adequate for Indian conditions.
  • The Terrano has a finely-tuned six-speed AMT gearbox that works well both in the city and on the highway.

Cons of Nissan Terrano:

  • While the inside quality is superior to that of the Duster, it is just passable for the price.
  • The Hyundai Creta outperforms the Nissan Terrano in terms of finish quality and features.
  • The absence of all-wheel drive in the Terrano (which is available in its more economical cousin) is a major disappointment for SUV fans.

Nissan Terrano Customer Reviews:

  • The car is extremely powerful, and when compared to the Duster, it is ideal for family use. It exemplifies Nissan’s class. On favourable roads, you may get up to 16 miles per gallon.
  • The Nissan Terrano is a pleasant vehicle to drive, with simple steering. It has adequate space in terms of seating capacity (at least 7), yet it is an excellent vehicle.
  • It is a really comfy and fantastic car. Fuel efficiency ranges from 14 kmpl in the city to 16 kmpl on the motorway. With a high-end music system, the speakers are poor. With a price tag of around 15 lakh, the dashboard and interior will be lacking. There is a lack of depth.
  • The car is excellent, safe, and easy to drive. It features two airbags, EBD and ABS, so it’s a good package in terms of safety. The ground clearance is also excellent. Nissan’s after-sales service may be better. One of the hardest SUVs on the market.
  • Terrano is a roomy and comfortable SUV that gets excellent gas mileage. Terrano is a superb SUV in terms of aesthetics and ergonomics, and it meets clients’ needs.

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your SUV and enjoy the ride.
